ABOUT THIS CAREER OPPORTUNITY


Pierre Brossard (1981) Ltée, a Black & McDonald Limited company located in Brossard (QC), is looking for a Project Manager. The incumbent reports to the Division Manager and is responsible for the overall administrative management of a large project or several small projects. Emphasis is placed on cost estimating and management, scheduling, quality including documentation, and customer satisfaction. It is essential that this person establishes and maintains excellent relations with all stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide management and leadership for safety, environmental and quality programs and policies.
  • In collaboration with the department head or division manager, determine project objectives, in compliance with company policies and contract specifications.
  • Assumes overall responsibility for the project.
  • Responsible for meeting project profitability, performance and schedule objectives.
  • In accordance with internal processes, prepare cost and progress reports.
  • Plan and prepare construction schedules, determine milestones and monitor progress.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers.
  • Represent the company at project meetings and participate in strategy meetings.
  • Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, modifications and additions to contractual agreements with consultants, customers, suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Audit work, contracts and work in progress to identify risks and correct deficiencies.

Required training and skills

  • Technical training or engineering degree and/or equivalent professional experience or knowledge
  • 5 to 7 years' experience in project management in the road and electrical construction sectors.
