The Document Control Coordinator is located in Pickering and typically reports directly to the Quality Assurance Manager. This is a vital support role within the Quality Assurance department as a central hub for departmental support functions. This position contributes significantly to the continuous improvement processes and is dedicated to maintaining the highest service quality excellence.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintains and updates electronic engineering and project filing tracking system and performs quality checks on documents to verify completeness and conformity to document standards/ requirements.
  • Creates, updates, scans, and maintains files, inventories, records, and other engineering and project documents as needed
  • Coordinates with different departments to facilitate the document control process.
  • Confers with document originators or engineering liaison personnel to resolve discrepancies and compile required changes to documents
  • Other functions as assigned by the QA Manager

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • A Secondary Education Diploma would be beneficial in this position but not mandatory.

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

    • 3+ years of Administrative and/or Document Control experience is considered an asset.
    • Must have experience in Microsoft Office including expert knowledge in Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
    • Experience in an office environment utilizing general office equipment such as photocopiers, scanners, printers, faxes and shredders.
    • Experience with VenDM is considered an asset
    • Ability to follow detailed directions in a fast-paced environment, taking requests from many people at varying levels of authority.
    • Experience in an engineering consulting firm is considered an asset.
