ABOUT THIS CAREER OPPORTUNITY

Black & McDonald’s legal team is growing! If you are a team oriented, enthusiastic, and driven professional searching for an opportunity to work with a great organization, this position is for you. This position is located in Scarborough and typically reports directly to the Subcontract Manager. We are looking for a candidate who is interested in working part time or reduced hours. The ideal candidate would be willing to work Monday to Friday on a reduced schedule, but we are willing to be flexible for the right person.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide administrative support to the Subcontracts team
  • Make adjustments (changes & increases) to purchase orders, as required, using JD Edwards
  • Interacting with operational staff and assist with the issuance of subcontract purchase orders and Change Order Management using JD Edwards
  • Scan and Post Subcontracts/Documents to organizational SharePoint Site
  • Track and update Subcontractor Certificates of Insurance
  • Assist team members with general administrative responsibilities as required

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • 3-5 years of experience in an administrative role
  • Experience in the construction industry and / or dealing subcontract documents is considered an asset

SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Experience with Adobe is preferred
  • Strong Organization Skills / detail oriented
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Energetic with a positive attitude
  • Knowledge of JD Edwards or comparable ERP system preferred but not a necessity
