Our sales team is growing! The Associate Business Development Representative will receive training, coaching, and mentoring in order to ensure long term success in new business development areas, including but not limited to uncovering needs, providing solutions and entering into service agreements with new clients. The successful candidate will be assigned a geographic or vertical market, and will have the opportunity to seek out prospective new clients in their assigned market. The focus will be on HVAC service agreements and using technical, organizational and service knowledge to assist customers in developing optimal solutions.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Research, cold call, and set up meetings with potential clients
  • Utilize proven sales methods to identify and solicit potential clients for future service work
  • Meet with and develop impressionable relationships with potential clients to successfully understand their needs and specific requirements
  • Assess potential client needs and resources and recommend the appropriate solution
  • Develop and maintain communications in a cooperative and professional manner with all levels of internal staff and customers
  • Work with Project Representative and provide input where non contractual HVAC related services must be tailored to suit clients' needs
  • Develop reports and proposals as part of sales presentation to potential clients
  • Prepare sales contracts under the direction of the Department Manager
  • Price the agreement according to the company pricing standards
  • Prepare start-up documents for set up and attend start up meetings with new clients
  • Continue personal professional development
  • Participate in department planning meetings as necessary
  • Keep internal software and database up to date with sales activities

Desired Skills & Experience

  • 1-3 years’ experience cold calling prospective clients
  • 1-3 years' experience in sales and preparing proposals or contracts
  • Experienced communicator, demonstrated either through work experience and/or education, with a desire to be in an entrepreneurial role
  • Organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Availability to travel from time to time as required
  • Competency in computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Competency in a web based sales tracking software such as Sales Force
  • Business or Marketing education is an asset
  • Experience with HVAC service and or equipment is an asset
  • Multilingual is an asset
