Black & McDonald’s Southern Ontario FMO team is growing! If you are an analytical and collaborative professional searching for the opportunity to build a solid foundation for your career, this position is for you. The Project Coordinator is located in Toronto (GTA), ON and typically reports directly to the Operations Manager.

The Project Coordinator will assist with the overall administrative direction for one large or several smaller construction projects. They will assist with the overall performance, including the management of costs, schedule and project status while maintaining excellent relations with the employees, subcontractors, consultants and our clients.

The Project Coordinator will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Plan, in conjunction with the Project Manager, the execution of projects in accordance with Corporate Policy
  • Assist with preparing contracts
  • Prepare progress reports
  • Assist in the purchase of supplies and materials
  • Prepare and maintain timesheets
  • Document control
  • Fleet/equipment management
  • Office management
  • Scheduling
  • Change management
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • University degree in electrical engineering, college diploma in construction engineering technology, or college diploma in construction project management

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • 3 years’ experience in the construction industry

SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Effective and efficient written and verbal communication skills
  • Planning, scheduling, and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of construction industry
  • Basic blueprint reading
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work in a multi-tasked, fast-paced, and dynamic environment
  • Own vehicle/full G driver's licence
