Reporting directly to the Division Manager of Edmonton Service, the Service Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and supervising the day to day activities and projects of the division. The ideal candidate is an individual who thrives on multi-tasking; ensures that all jobs are completed on-time and on-budget; and in accordance with client specifications. Together with your team, you play an active role in developing and strengthening client relationships.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Oversees and supervises field workers, including HVAC technicians, apprentices, helpers and laborers
  • Ensures all work is completed in accordance to client specifications and the Company's health, safety and environmental policies and procedures
  • Assists and supports the Foreman to establish appropriate work methods to meet client requirements
  • Streamlines work group processes and recommends measures to improve productivity
  • Selects, develops and evaluates workers to ensure effective and efficient operations
  • Oversees the requisition of materials and equipment, as required
  • Oversees work in progress reports and monitors the financial job performance
  • Ensures all necessary paperwork is completed and submitted on-time, and as per billing process
  • Maintains ongoing relationship with customers and follows-up on any related issues for timely resolution
  • Participates in meetings with Operations and Sales to ensure project scope and objectives, timeline and customer requirements are properly understood
  • Builds detailed cost estimates and scope of work in conjunction with Operations and Sales
  • Assists in preparing proposals and other customer communication documents
  • Participates in relevant events, professional organizations
  • Performs other related duties, as assigned

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) qualification preferred; however, qualification as a certified tradesperson in a mechanical field will be considered

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a supervisory role
