The entry level Electrical Distribution Designer is located in Vancouver and typically reports directly to a Senior Engineer. The position works on programs and projects involving overhead and underground electric utility distribution systems in accordance with applicable codes and Utility Owner requirements.
WHAT YOU WILL DO IN YOUR ROLE
- Perform detailed design of overhead and/or underground electric distribution systems
- Reliability programs
- Rebuild / re-conductor
- Entry level

- Make Ready
- Pole Foreman
- Preparation and modification of electrical drawings, specifications, calculations, charts & graphs, and construction drawing packages
- Possess an analytical competence to interact with variety of individuals including engineers, other distribution system designers, GIS specialists, and field technicians
- Perform various field services (as required) including distribution system inventories, NESC audits, joint use management and permitting, and pole or transformer inspections
- Perform field data collection utilizing an IKE or tablet device as necessary
- Develop a working knowledge telephone, cable, and other communication facilities
- Work effectively in a team environment
