The Project Administrator will work directly with our project team to assist the Department Manager in the day to day operations of the New Brunswick Commercial Electrical Division. This includes assisting the Department Manager, Project Managers, as well as the Site Supervisors in a wide range of administrative activities, some of which are listed below. This position will report directly to the Department Manager and is located at 71 Loftus Street., Moncton, New Brunswick.

  • Assist with the weekly processing of time sheets and productivity reports
  • Assist team with the procurement of materials and equipment.
  • Assist estimators in the preparation of proposal documents while adhering to tendering procedures.
  • Assist in day-to-day tasks for both the office and the field crew.
  • Assist with/perform requisition of purchase orders, invoicing, insurance certificates and local authority requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation & management of related documentation – schedules, project close-out, quality control, drawings, layouts, etc.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with all stakeholders including Black & McDonald team members, clients, consultants, subcontractors, vendors and suppliers.
  • Assist Project Manager with weekly report updates on progress, labour productivity, work outcomes, budget, cost, and forecast.
  • Track progress against project plans and specific team targets
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Completion of secondary education (administration diploma/certificate or equivalent experience)
  • Ability to organize work effectively
  • Motivated and able to work with multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Candidates must be capable of using MS Office applications with a focus on excel.
