ABOUT THIS CAREER OPPORTUNITY

Black & McDonald’s Ottawa team is growing! If you are an independent, enthusiastic, and driven professional searching for an opportunity to build a solid foundation for your career, this position is for you. The Accounts Payable Clerk is located in Ottawa, Ontario and typically reports directly to the Regional Controller.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval.
  • Post high volume of AP invoices accurately and on a timely basis.
  • Ensure invoices match purchase orders, review/resolve any issues with purchasing department or project manager.
  • Prepare & select Invoices for payment processing – cheque/EFT- weekly.
  • Reconcile vendor statements on monthly basis.
  • Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy.
  • Assist the Finance team with day to day, monthly and year-end reporting and operational requirements.
  • Other duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 0-1 year experience in Accounts Payable considered an asset.
  • Able to demonstrate attention to details and good-record keeping.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office (Word/Excel).
