We are seeking a Lead Administrator to be based at the CNRL Horizon Site in Northern Alberta. This is a temporary position to support an industrial construction turnaround project starting February 2023 with the potential to be 3-month duration. It will be a rotation of 4 days on & 3 days off at 10-hour days pre-outage with rotation to increase to 24 days on & 4 days off at 12-hour days during the outage. Charter flights from Calgary or Edmonton and camp will be provided.
The Lead Administrator is responsible to supervise the day-to-day operations of the administrative department, staff members and ensuring all employees are onboarded on time and deadlines are being met and will report to Project Cost Controls. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Create, review and submit manpower requests to appropriate union hall(s)
- Responsible for being first point of contact for dispatched craft from union halls & non-union personnel
- Collect and ensure that all site personnel have all required documentation and training prior to arrival on site
- Schedule pre-access Alcohol & Drug testing for all new site personnel
- Submit dispatched craft & new non-union personnel to CNRL Security for site clearance
- Coordinate travel (charter flights) and camp accommodations for site personnel
- Collect and process completed new hire paperwork and scan individually to Payroll / HR / Safety departments
- Review daily timesheets for accuracy, reconcile to sign-in sheets, upload to JDE daily
- Coordinate with payroll & field supervision for any payroll errors brought forward, submit required documentation to correct errors as required
- Produce daily reports
- Produce daily LEMs
- Assist HR department; submit employee related documentation to Western Industrial office in Calgary
- Assist HSE department; training matrix updates, filing of JHA’s, tool box forms, safety meeting minutes, etc.
- Assist Project Leads when needed

EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- University Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma preferable in Business/Human Resources or equivalent
- CSTS-09 / CSO / BSO / PST / SCOTT
- 10+ years’ experience in a similar role & Industry with remote site experience
