The Manager, IT Contracts and Vendor Management is responsible for managing IT vendor and suppliers' contracts from end to end with regards to agreements, vendor, establishing best practices, and risk management. This position will oversee the enterprise hardware/software deployment strategy, negotiate vendor contracts including pricing, and responsible for license compliance. The Manager will be a strong leader and support the team’s ongoing development and success.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Perform the execution of large-scale vendor engagements, ensuring effective contract management and performance to service targets. Drive contract and enterprise agreement implementation and renewals
  • Hardware inventory control and forecasting. Maintain, in conjunction with the business, hardware standards deployed by role requirements
  • Perform the management of the tactical and strategic relationships with vendors, ensuring alignment to company objectives. Perform the evaluation of operations of vendors against agreed service levels
  • Report statistics data on a regular basis to management. Oversee creation and maintenance of data repositories and executive reports. Accountable for hardware, software sourcing and cost effective license management
  • Accountable for line management of a Vendor and Contract Management team. Manages, motivates and coaches team
  • Has overall responsibility for ensuring that vendors and contracts are optimized, as well as driving service optimization efforts
  • Drives spend analysis and participates in the cost transformation projects


  • Education / Training - Bachelor’s degree in Computers or IT Business Management or related studies
  • 8+ years of related contract vendor management experience
  • Has negotiated and managed at least two EA contracts
  • 5+ years of experience managing teams
  • Experience working in a global ITS environment with vendor relationship/portfolio management experience
  • License audit and management experience
  • Experience working with the Legal team and other stakeholders review and approve MSAs and contracts
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • In-depth IT operations knowledge; Data center hardware, MDM, Software management, Compliance
  • Must be available and open to working different shifts
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint
  • JD Edwards experience is an asset
  • Communicates effectively (verbally and written) at all levels within an organization and with external parties including enforcing authorities
  • Understands the needs and perspectives of both internal and external customers
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Demonstrated understanding of IT software, hardware and services
  • Strong Contract and Vendor Management skills
  • Experience with spend mapping, contracting concepts
  • Strong work ethics, works with integrity and values company policies
