Reporting to the Project Manager, the Junior Project Controls Coordinator will be in located Leduc, and various project sites. They will be responsible for supporting the project managers with cost & schedule performance and assist developing and maintaining weekly cost reports & schedule updates. The Junior Project Controls Coordinator is a quick learner and is able to assist the Project Manager with cost management, MS Project and or Primavera P6 schedule creation and updates. The Project Controls Coordinator able to learn and report in JDE after training. The Junior Project Controls Coordinator will assist in the development and maintenance of weekly schedule.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist in the preparation and distribution the schedule including any required updates
  • Assist with the monitoring of project progress and tracking any deviations or changes that impact the planned schedule
  • Assist in the development of working schedules for Estimating as required, prior to proposal date, which sufficiently illustrates the sequence of work activities and contract time
  • Assist in the maintenance of the master schedule the project and assists in identifying and recording the impact of work performed and not performed as scheduled, including resource loading / levelling, baselining, look-ahead, & what-if analysis’
  • Assist in the collaboration with operations, subcontractors, vendors and owner to discuss impact of work and resolutions to mitigate delays, disruptions, or concerns
  • Assist in the development of corrective action plans & mitigation strategies based on schedule & critical path analysis
  • Assist with the tracking, reporting, and analyzing costs, manhours, and productivity
  • Assist with the Change Management tracking on site

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Engineering Degree or Technical Diploma

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • While experience as a schedule or cost analysist is not required, previous Electrical Project Coordinator,
    Civil Project Coordinator or internship experience in the construction industry would be an asset

SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to use MS Office (Word, Excel, Project)
  • Valid Driver’s License, with clean Abstract
