YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the overall development of lifecycle asset management within the department
- Help improve QA on existing site-specific data models
- Conduct and/or coordinate infield facilities condition inspections
- Provide lifecycle/capital planning recommendations
- Order of Magnitude budget estimation of construction projects
- Generate, review and understand reports. Uses aggregate data from multiple sources to assist in creating a complete analysis, improvement and/or recommendation
- Work with the operations staff to develop process improvements to strengthen asset management data
- Interact with client, staff, client principals, architects, engineers, contractors, industry representatives, facility managers, and construction trades
- Review the accuracy of information provided and responds to requests from management and internal clients
- Identify opportunities for improvements
- May coordinate involvement of personnel from other departments to facilitate successful project implementations
- May act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for key systems/processes in subject teams and day-to-day functions

REQUIREMENTS
- A great attitude and enthusiasm for learning
- Ability to comprehend, analyze and interpret complex situations
- Available from May 2025 to August 2025
- Mobility (within or outside of province/state) is considered an asset
- Valid Ontario G Driver’s License
- Completed or pursuing a degree or diploma in Engineering or Building Science (i.e., Professional Engineer or Certified Engineering Technologist designations are an asset).
