The Project Scheduler will be responsible for the planning, development, and coordination of project schedules, including tracking issues, analyzing data and providing reports. The Scheduler will work closely with Project Managers to effectively plan and schedule construction resources in an efficient manner that minimizes downtime, maximizes productivity and adheres to company business processes, safety policies and procedures.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Create and update master schedules detailing the sequence of work to be performed
  • Coordinate and track schedules with Subcontractors and Suppliers in the master schedule
  • Evaluate construction progress and provide regular schedule update reports
  • Proactively identify problems or conflicts in the project schedule and assist staff in resolution
  • Perform critical path analysis and make recommendations to maximize efficiencies

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • College or university degree

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of planning/scheduling experience in the Industrial Construction Industry

SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Knowledge and understanding of construction scheduling, planning, and execution
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Organization and time management

Proficient user of:

  • MS Project
  • MS Office
  • Primavera (asset but not required)
