ABOUT THIS CAREER OPPORTUNITY

The Northern Ontario Region’s Utility Division is seeking a full-time Project Coordinator who must be skilled, detail oriented, and result focused. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for providing administrative support on construction projects. The successful candidate with report to the Operations Manager.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist the Project Manager to ensure project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards are in accordance with company policy and contract specifications are met;
  • Assist in planning and preparing construction schedules and milestones, and monitor progress against established timelines;
  • Assists in budget analysis, cost and margin projections, estimate project changes and impacts;
  • Assist in implementing quality control programs;
  • Build and maintain customer and supplier/vendor relationships;
  • Prepare progress reports and issue progress schedules;
  • Trade and subcontractor coordination;
  • Document control;
  • Purchasing;
  • Ensure site is operating in accordance to health, safety and environmental standards;
  • The successful candidate may be required to perform other duties as assigned.

    EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

    • Degree or Diploma in Civil/Electrical Engineering or a related field is considered an asset.

    WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

    • 1-3 years’ experience in the construction industry is an asset.

    SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

    • Motivated with the ability to work with strict timelines in a fast-paced team environment
    • Knowledge of programs such as Microsoft Projects, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
